Advice

So you want to become a designer in 2020… ✨
I made this PDF as a resource for designers who are embarking on the journey to become a designer, but are seeking advice along the way. A bit of context on me; I started doing graphic design as early as 2014, and shifted into user experience starting in 2016. Currently, I’m a product designer at a midsize startup that has a fairly mature product, but I’ve also worked at small ground-up companies that barely had an MVP. (“minimum viable product”) I’ve worked on fintech, automotive, e-commerce, and mindfulness products for iOS/Android and web based applications. Designing solutions founded on human problems are what I love most about my current scope of work.
Here’s the guide for my best tips, opinions, and favorite resources.
I’ve had a lot of folks reach out to me for a chat, but I also realize… there’s only one of me. Creating this guide was the best solution that allowed me to broadly help as many designers as possible. If you still have questions, please feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn and I will try my best to get back to you.
Good luck, cheers, and stay well ✨
